Benti (Request)
A few hours ago, Baba Takhur Singh Jee, the head of the Damdami Taksal, one of the most respected Singhs in the entire panth, passed away.
I don't have much to say about this topic... well, actually I do... but its probably better left unsaid.
I know there are a few Taksali friends of mine who read this site, so this is just a request: Move on. I hope they know what I'm talking about. Sri Guru Granth Sahib is the only saviour and hope of the Sikh panth... no human being can fill that void. That's something we can all agree on, right?

Okay Bhajee agree to move on - but you know what at least have some compassion for those that are grieving. Not 24 hours have passed and you say it already...
Not two hours had passed and stories were already out there of a "new date" for you-know-who's arrival.
I wouldn't have said a word at all, ever, if people didn't start saying that kind of stuff right away.
Baba ji has passed away, and it is very sad.
I come from an area in UK, where ther are many taksali's, and being at the akhand paat and the gurdwara for last few days, i havent heard anybody once mention Sant Jarnail Singh ji's name. (and i think yes it is disrespectiful, u mention to Sant ji as "U know who..").
Im not saying Sant ji is alive or not. Only Guru ji knows the answer to that. And over the years i tell my uni friends that we shouldnt wait for Some one to come back, to be a better sikh. We should have that love for Guru Granth Sahib ji instead. if u no wa i mean.
This site is very good khalsa ji and Guru ji's kirpa for your sewa.
sorry, i just found it upsetting the way you reffered to Sant Jarnail singh ji in a bit of a disrescpectful way, obviously i hope u dint mean to.
But yes, back to your orignial Question, Sri Guru Granth sahib ji, is the only saviour and hope for the sikh panth. But reading up on Sant Ji's life story too, they were great Gur sikhs and did a lot of sewa for sikhs, and more or less woke up the Sikh kaum in the 20th Cent.

I apologize for seeming like I was being disrespectful to Sant-Jee. That wasn't the intention. I think Sant-Jee was one of the greatest Gursikhs of the twentieth century, without a doubt.
I'm glad that you haven't heard his name mentioned though, because its a much greater disrespect to undermine his shaheedi.
