Why are some people so stupid?

Check out the comments in Brock's latest post on the only valuable lessons from Jean Chretien's term in office, as well as the comments under that hilarious Jesus-land trip on Trudeaupia.

I thought people who checked out blogs were usually semi-intelligent... perfectly capable of detecting sarcasm, satire, etc.

Apparently not.

Both posts are hilarious by the way, and there's no better way to capture the ridiculousness of those issues (Canadians' carelessness when it comes to corruption and their inability to detect it in the case of Brock, and the stupidity of anti-Americans in the case of Trudeaupia).

Japnaam, thanks for the link, I've returned the favour. It's very refreshing to see someone like you who truly sees through the rhetoric and understands what Conservatism in this country truly is.

I must say, that I've had a huge exposure to Indianw, both Sikh and non-Sikh in my life. In fact, you guys have played a huge role in my life over the past years, having worked for an Indian-owned company, and working with, and befriending so many. I have a lot of respect for Indians in general. In fact, it doesn't suprise me that you're a conservative, from personal experience many of my Indian and Punjabi friends are in fact, very conservative.

You've got a good blog going here, and it's now on my daily read list =)

I have to tell you, I'm absolutely flattered by all the recognition you've been giving me through you blog. Thanks and I look forward to lots of thoughtful blogversations.

Mike,

Thanks for linking to me. Your blog is probably the best example of what a "Canadian Conservative" blog should look like. Only because its unapologetically both "Canadian" and "Conservative". Unlike a lot of other people out there, you don't apologize for standing up for Canadian interests, even when they diverge from American ones.
